Vertical Workshop

Presented by Andy Armstrong.

Do you manage vertical caves? Need to get in them (and back out) but don't have the skills or gear? This workshop will teach safe vertical caving and give you a chance to tune your skills. The workshop will take place on Monday, October 3. We may offer an additional class on Friday if there is enough interest. We will cover basic knots, tuning your gear, rappelling, ascending, and changeovers. We will focus on frog system-based Single Rope Technique (SRT). All participants are encouraged to bring their own properly decontaminated gear. There may be a small amount of loaner gear available for the class. Class size is limited to 15 participants. Cost: Free
