Steering Committee Members
The National Speleological Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1941 to advance the study, conservation, exploration, and knowledge of caves. More than 12,000 members in 200 chapters conduct regular meetings to bring cavers together within their general area to coordinate activities which may include mapping, restoration and scientific study of caves. The NSS works on a national level to promote responsible management of cave and karst resources, and supports research and educational programs in these fields.
